Crock Pot Super Bowl Sandwich
For game day get-togethers, this Crock Pot Super Bowl Sandwich is great. The beef, onions, and bell peppers are slow-cooked in a savory sauce until they are soft. Then, they are piled high on toasted hoagie rolls and topped with melted provolone cheese. The sandwich is hearty and filling, and everyone will love it
Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef chuck roast, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 hoagie rolls
- 6 slices provolone cheese
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper
Place beef slices in the crock pot, top with onion and bell pepper slices
Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until beef is tender
When ready to serve, toast hoagie rolls in the oven
Fill each roll with beef, onion, and bell pepper mixture from the crock pot
Top with provolone cheese slices and place under the broiler until cheese is melted and bubbly
Serve hot and enjoy
