Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes

Indulge in the flavors of cinnamon rolls with these delicious Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes. They are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet treat any time of the day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
  • For Streusel Topping:
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • For Cream Cheese Glaze:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C

You can line a muffin tin with cupcake liners

Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix them together

Butter that has been melted, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together in a different bowl

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed

Put softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl

Mix them together to make the cinnamon swirl filling

Put a small amount of cupcake batter into each cupcake liner

To each cupcake liner, put some batter and a small amount of the cinnamon swirl mixture on top of it

Spoon or toothpick the cinnamon mixture into the batter and mix it in

Use a fork or pastry cutter to mix the streusel topping ingredients flour, sugar, cold butter, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl until the mixture is crumbly

Add the streusel to the cupcake batter and mix it in

Bake in an oven that has already been heated for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle of a cupcake comes out clean

Get the cream cheese glaze ready while the cupcakes cool

Put the softened cream cheese and butter in a bowl and beat them together until they are smooth

Slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while beating the mixture until it is smooth and well mixed

Spread the cream cheese glaze on top of each cupcake after they have cooled completely
