Classic Margherita Pizza

Indulge in the simplicity and flavors of a classic Margherita pizza. This Italian favorite combines the richness of tomato sauce, the creaminess of mozzarella cheese, and the freshness of basil leaves.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce

Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them on top of the cheese

Sprinkle minced garlic over the pizza

Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and season with salt and pepper to taste

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing

Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious Margherita pizza
